Warning regarding COSMO V9 digital signature devices and certificates.

Information on Ministry of Defense smartcards with COSMO v9 chips.

Following the new provisions introduced in the eIDAS 910/2014 Regulation, the digital signature certificates on board the ATe models will be revoked for owners of COSMO v9 devices on 31 December 2025.
Owners of COSMO v9 digital signature devices who have not yet replaced them will receive an official communication inviting them to replace these devices.
We therefore ask holders of the ATe Model to proceed with the verification as illustrated below.

In fact, the list of devices impacted by the expiry of the conformity certification, identified by ATR code, has been made public:

If the ATR is not among those mentioned above, it means that the device can be used until the certificate expires.
